Scope
This notice applies to the MindPlay live pilot, including the parent account, child profiles, games, and parent progress views.
Information used in the pilot
Parent account
A parent submits an email address and password to create and access an account. The authentication service handles the password. The MindPlay application stores the parent account identifier, display name, accepted document versions, and the time consent was recorded.
Child profile
A parent can provide a child nickname, an age selection and age band, a preferred language, and selected interests. MindPlay does not ask a child for an email address, phone number, precise location, or public profile.
Learning activity
The pilot records games and activities played, submitted answers, activity timing, completion, scores where an activity is scored, progress, and in-app reward transactions. These records stay associated with the parent-owned child profile.
Service and security logs
Our servers record request times, network addresses, and service errors to protect accounts and investigate problems. Connections to the live service use HTTPS.
How the information is used
- To create and authenticate the parent account.
- To show each parent the child profiles they own.
- To deliver finite learning quests and keep child-specific progress.
- To score submitted activities and record server-issued progress and rewards.
- To operate and troubleshoot the pilot.
Pilot account access
The current pilot automatically creates a session after signup. That process does not verify that the parent owns the submitted email address. Email confirmation, confirmation resend, and password reset delivery are unavailable until MindPlay configures its email service. The app does not show a message claiming that an email was sent when these features are unavailable.
Children, visibility, and advertising
Child profiles belong to the signed-in parent. The pilot has no public child profiles, public leaderboards, or child chat. It does not include behavioural ads or third-party advertising trackers. Scores describe activity inside MindPlay; they are not IQ scores, diagnoses, age norms, or developmental assessments.
Your choices and contact
